​Dear St. John’s,  
Hau’oli Makahiki Hou! I hope you’ve all had some time to pause and reflect on 2023, and set some intentions for 2024. As I’ve thought about our shared life together, I feel confident that the Spirit is leading us and that some awesome things await us in this year.

Mahalo
Mahalo nui loa to all who were a part of our Christmas Parade and Ice Skating adventure! Thank you to all who were a part of our Advent and Christmas Eve services, including set up, clean up, serving communion, collecting the offering, playing music, and counting the money. It surely takes all of us to make church together! 
 
Annual Meeting 
Our Annual Congregational Meeting will be January 21st, immediately following worship. There will be reports from me, from Debbie as our Bishop’s Warden and from Kanoa as our Junior Warden. There are also two opportunities to serve St. John’s. The first is as a Bishop’s Committee member, serving a 3 year term. We are saying goodbye to Ikaika and Kuuipo and need to replace them! The second is as a delegate or alternate to Diocesan Convention, which is a one day commitment in October. Let me know if you are interested in either! 
 
Kahu Bree’s Installation at Ka Hana O Ke Akua             
Bree will be getting installed as the pastor at KHOKA, and everyone is welcome to attend in celebration! The service will be on Saturday, January 27th, at 10am. 
 
Bible Study
We will be meeting on Mondays at 5:30pm, either in person at St John’s or over zoom, and we will be studying each book of the Bible individually, beginning with Genesis. Come whenever you’re able!
 
Rev Jazzy on Retreat 
I will be out of the office and on the Annual Episcopal clergy retreat at Camp Mokuleia Monday, January 29th till Wednesday, January 31st. I will be reachable but out of the office, tending to my spirit. I hope you find some time to do the same!
